As
the 20th century approached its end, the government in
Taiwan started to approve the establishment of industrial
banks, turning a new leaf for Taiwan's domestic financial
system.
To promote national economic development and support
strategic industries, Mr. Kenneth Lo founded in July 12,
1999 the first newly established industrial bank in Taiwan
- Industrial Bank of Taiwan (IBT).
The bank has adopted core values 'honor, integrity, teamwork,
innovation, professionalism and meritocracy' in pursuing
sustainable operation and excellent growth. Major businesses
include medium- and long-term loans, direct investment,
project finance, financial consultation, treasury, asset
securitization, trust and foreign exchange. It has also
gradually entered into corporate finance, asset management,
M&A and restructuring. The bank helps clients to obtain
optimal funding mix for business expansion, operational
upgrades and going international.
To provide professional quality services, the bank employs
high quality staff. Under the leadership of Chairman Kenneth
Lo and President Tony Yang, the bank emphasizes on 'professionalism,
technology and innovation' in providing full-range financial
services and conducting strategic alliances. The bank's
head office is located in Taipei. To be closer to our
clients and serve them better, the bank set up two branches
in Hsinchu and Kaohsiung and three service units in Taoyun,
Taichung and Tainan. The bank will continue to watch the
development of industrial clusters to establish new service
locations and provide more diversified financial services
to the industries.
