A Dreamland of Learning, Innovation and Technology
The foundation hopes to provide an open playground for the younger generation, where we encourage them to have independent thinking, be as creative as possible, and pursue their dreams bravely. Established in 2000 by the donation of NT$ 30 million from IBT, the foundation puts great emphasis on "learning, innovation, and technology" in its activities. Integrating resources of private and public sectors, promoting industrial/academic cooperation, and organizing technology seminars/management workshops, the foundation intends to immerse the young generation with new concepts and visions so as to nurture new generation entrepreneurs and technology talents
In addition to holding the IBT WeWin Entrepreneurship Competition, which patterns after the MIT’s $50K Competition, the foundation also helps organize various innovation and education related activities. In 2002 we helped organize ‘Creative Education Seminar’ under the guidance by the Ministry of Education; sponsored ‘International Technological Exchange Exhibition;’ planned visits and activities for delegates from the MIT Sloan School and its Entrepreneurship Center. In addition, we have been involved in many public welfare activities, promoting educational and cultural events as well as making donations to charitable institutions and orphanages.
In the future, we will promote international cooperation through exchanges with renowned universities overseas by introducing them successful cases, creative thoughts and new technologies presented by our young people. We hope this will further motivate our younger generation to arduously pursue innovation and entrepreneurship. In the meantime, we will continue our involvement in activities promoting cultural and artistic standards in our society.
