Patterning after the MIT’s $50K Competition, WeWin is particularly designed for college students. ‘WeWin’ is an acronym for ‘Win by Entrepreneurship, Work with Innovation & Networking.’ All participants are expected to present their teamwork spirit and smart integration of technological innovation and resources.

WeWin comprises various stages of activities including campus speeches at major universities, road shows explaining competition rules, workshops, judges meeting, award ceremony and VC club. The bank as well as incubation centers at many universities provide financial and managerial assistances to winning teams. In the past five years, nine teams have successfully established their companies. Some are now undergoing second round financing or road showing their products.

WeWin focuses on the 10 emerging industries that our government has recently been supporting. They are precision machinery, communication, information, software, internet, digital contents, opto-electronics, biotechnology, environmental protection, etc. Every year, the top three teams will receive cash awards of NT$ 500,000, NT$ 300,000 and NT$ 200,000 respectively. If incorporated within 2 years, the teams will further receive a capital investment of NT$ 1,000,000.
