Since its inception, IBTS has been the top 10 corporate bonds underwriter for three consecutive years. In February 2002, the Industrial Bank of Taiwan (IBT) has successfully issued its first CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligation), an asset securitization product. The professional team has been engaged in the financial advisory business for non-public offering and distribution and in the meantime dedicated in the development of real-estate securitization business. In 2003, it has successfully launched the first real-estate securitization product, with the IBM building as the target asset.
Through its close cooperation with foreign financial institutions, the IBT group has also successfully assisted the European Investment Bank (EIB) and North-European Investment Bank (NIB) in the issuance of TWD bonds. After obtaining the license to trade government bonds, the group has also been actively engaged in the outright sell and purchase, as well as re-purchase (RP)/resell (RRP or RS) of securities. Apart from accepting customer requests to bid central government bonds, we have also established the IBTS weighted bond index to serve as a mean to determine the government bond market trends, and help our customers make accurate judgments on interest rate market trend.
