The bank delivered an outstanding financial performance in 2004. Foreign exchange transactions recorded a strong growth. Total loan amount at the end of 2004 reached NT$ 50.22 billion. After the NT$ 5.25 billion loan sold for securitization is added, total year-end balance grew by NT$ 11.4 billion at a rate of 26% over 2003. The number of borrowers grew by 44.9% with significant addition of medium-sized corporations in the loan portfolio. This reduced the concentration of large corporations in the portfolio. Despite a fierce competition in syndication loan market, the bank managed to complete 15 syndication loans in 2004 with a total amount of NT$ 24.4 billion.
