 In a highly competitive environment, Taiwan needs to develop and nourish innovative and aggressive entrepreneurs to maintain its global leading edge. In order to stimulate interests in R&D, creativity and develop young talents, IBT formed the IBT Education Foundation subsequent to its own establishment. Through organizing various industrial/academic cooperation projects and seminars on technology, we hope to equip our young people with new concepts and broaden their horizons. In addition, we also hope to nurture young entrepreneurs and identify talents for our country so as to achieve more rapidly the goal of converting Taiwan into a technology island. In 2000, the IBT donated NT$ 30 million to set up the IBT Education Foundation to engage in various social, educational, cultural and welfare activities. Among the activities organized by the Foundation, the IBT WeWin Entrepreneurship Competition is now one of the most important and famous competitions in Taiwan. ‘We Win puts great emphasis on ‘entrepreneurship,’ ‘innovation,’ and ‘team work.’ It hopes to inspire the creativity of our younger generation, to nurture young entrepreneurs, and to assist businesses with good potentials to succeed.
